Is He/She “The One”?

Here are some of the signs that the person you are seeing could turn into a serious, long-term relationship:

1. The Love Buzz
While it may not always be there, you will probably have felt the pang of butterflies in your stomach for “the one.”

2. You’re Friends
When the overwhelming chemicals in your body stop boiling, you’re going to want your long term partner to be a friend. Make sure you can like him as well as love him.

3. There Is Mutual Respect
It’s pretty important that your partner respects you and you return the notion. This allows you to get through any storm together.

4. You Accept One Another
You think your partner is great just the way they are. You don’t have any illusions that things will be better once they change. You also get the feeling that they love everything about you.

5. The Family/Friends Factor
If you get along with each other’s families and friends, this is a good sign that they are “the one.” The friends/family factor can bring it’s challenges but if you’re already meshing, this is a great sign for a long relationship.

6. You’re with Them For More Than Their Looks
If you are becoming more attracted to your partner as times goes on, this is a huge sign that they’re likely “the one.” You are looking past the initial attraction and seeing the person that lies inside.

7. You’ve Got Each other’s Back
You and your partner stick together and if one of you need a helping hand, you’re always there for each other.

8. You Can Talk To Each Other
If you are easily able to talk to one another about emotional issues or other difficult topics, this is a match made in heaven.

9. You Trust Each Other
Trust is a big one. If you don’t worry about where they are all the time, and vice versa, you have a good thing going. Keep it.

10. You Can Spend Time Apart
Spending time apart shows that you’re individuals and it enhances the relationship too. It’s healthy to be in a relationship where you can be yourselves.
